Where the Money
Goes...
Fish For Sight - Where the Money Goes Overview
Where the Money Goes -
A Success Story - May 2011
LIONS, Friends, and Supporters:
On May 10, 2007 The Concord Village Lions Club and FISH FOR SIGHT made
a donation to the USABA – association for blind athletes, and
sponsored a Missouri School for the Blind Student, Tony Selvaggio. He
was participating in Track, and was embarking on the
qualifications/time trials to compete in the Paralympics in summer of
2008. Tony was very thankful for the gift, as was his mother, Jan.
I was just informed of some exciting news regarding Tony. He graduated
from Southeast Missouri State University with 2 Degrees this past May
– along with his support dog, Marvel. Ms. Barbara Beal from the
Missouri School for the Blind passed this along to me.
I thought it was a pleasant reminder as to why we put in our time,
effort, and money for all of our events – especially Fish For Sight.
